Live@8

Live@8 will complete it’s natuional tour in Exchange Dublin at 8pm on Friday 9th December 2011. The tour has already visited Guesthouse Cork and Trades Club Sligo.
Live@8 is a regular contemporary art evening, showing the work of Irish and International artists who make video, film, live art, sound and installation in a social context. Organised by Vivienne Dick, Maeve Mulrennan and Áine Phillips, Live@8 invites a guest curator bimonthly to put together a dynamic social art event which has attracted large local and national audiences since 2008. The tour is curated by Phillips, Mulrennan and Dick. The evening will present performances by: Isabella Oberlander, Paul Timoney, Noel Arrigan, Mary Ahearne, Suzanne Walsh, James McCann, Ann Maria Healy and Lisamarie Johnson
Live @ 8 wiill also screen video work by Galway based artists Dave Callan (4 channel installation), Austin Ivers, James Ward and Cecilia Danell. There will also be screenings by UK based artists Monica Ross and Mitch & Parry. Ross’ work ‘Acts of Memory: Act 27’ is a collaborative work made in Galway City Museum in September 2011. Mitch + Parry’s work was also devised at this time.
